About the project:
 

College Houses CO-OP is a registered non-profit organization providing affordable student housing that is entirely managed by student members. This Cotera & Reed Architects design was completed in 2008. The 65,536 square foot facility is a 6-level, multi-family complex featuring a full kitchen, dining, and laundry facilities. The residential and common area levels are built over a 3-level, above-grade, cast-in-place parking garage. The structure was built between Nueces Street and the public right-away alley creating many construction challenges. The very successful project completion was a collaborative effort between the consultants, general contractor, all trades, and the neighborhood businesses and residences.
