Lockhart High School
Renovations and Additions
About the project:
This 2-year, multi-phased project was completed in 2017 and was constructed while the high school was fully operational. The Huckabee-designed project included 124,300 square feet of new construction additions for classrooms, a labs area, and a 34,000 square foot auditorium complete with stage and theatrical lighting and extensive controls. Included in the project were 201,000 square feet of remodeled areas for classrooms, a cafeteria, assembly rooms, welding and automotive shops, corridors, and entries. The exterior work included a new athletic field press box, a separate restroom building, an athletic field office, primary and secondary electrical duct bank services, new telecom duct bank services, a parking site, and pedestrian lighting.
